11 x 14 in / Black Ink & Ink Pens / Fall 2023
I was tasked with picking a short story from the list of aesop’s fables. I ended up going with The Fox and the Grapes. The drawing was first sketched with pencil before going over the important details with ink pens. Afterwards, I applied ink using water to lighten the medium in order to give it value and apply shadow. After painting with ink, I went back in and used the pens to add smaller details like cross hatching and textures.
